What Success Looks Like

CANS will have been successful in the area of labour development when we have a documented labour strategy lead by CANS and in partnership with all stakeholders. We are engaged by key decision making bodies in the supply chain as a subject matter expert on industry requirements.

What We’ve Accomplished

The past year CANS began working with other stakeholders such as the Construction Sector Council to understand the labour environment in Nova Scotia.  To-date a steering committee has been developed with the ideal goal of having a comprehensive understanding of labour market forces, employer intentions, and supply side mechanisms necessary to meet changing labour market needs in the coming years.

Through the efforts of the Marketing and Communications Committee, CANS will also work to raise the profile of the industry to be seen as an employer and industry of success.
