CANSnet Preview: Port Morien Wastewater Collection Project

In 2019, CBRM began exploring possible treatment plants in Glace Bay and Port Morien, along with Battery Point disinfection system upgrades. This is in keeping with federal wastewater regulations, which dictate that effluent emptying into waterways must be treated by 2020. Government funding has since been secured and plans confirmed for new sewage treatment plants in Glace Bay and Port Morien.

CANSnet Project Preview: Adsum House Sunflower Residence Development

Adsum for Women & Children is announcing the launch of the ‘Sunflower’ – a development project in Lakeside that will construct 25 homes for women, families and gender-expansive folks who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

CANSnet Project Preview: PE21-0259- DTI – Pandemic Warehouse, Queens County Highway Depot

The 12,000-square-foot, climate-controlled warehouse will serve as a storage space for Health PEI’s pandemic readiness supplies. That will include personal protective equipment such as gloves, gowns and masks, as well as wipes, sanitizers, syringes and bedding

CANSnet Project Preview: NS21-0720 – UPDATED: St. Mary’s Apartment Restoration Project

Although great progress had been made in Phases I – III, some work scheduled for 2020 has been delayed due to COVID-19. Site visits are available on request. They are working to start major parts of the work in July and August 2021, providing the government moves forward with its plans to alleviate restrictions.
