CANS Awards
CANS awards recognize members whose enduring commitment, leadership, and service have contributed significantly to the strength and success of the Association and the construction industry as a whole.
Through these honours, CANS celebrates individuals and organizations whose continued involvement, dedication, and professionalism exemplify the values of the Association. Their contributions help advance CANS’ mission, support industry growth, and foster a strong, connected membership—making each award a reflection of both achievement and lasting impact.
In 2025, five new industry awards were introduced to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals and companies shaping the future of our province’s construction sector. These awards highlight leadership, innovation, community spirit, and the advancement of women in the industry. In 2026, an additional award was introduced, recognizing the emerging talent helping shape the future of our industry.

BFY Long-Term Host Award

BFY Ambassador Award
The 2026 BFY Ambassador Award recipient is Northern Contracting Limited. This award recognizes the efforts of a Host Employer company who have gone above and beyond to welcome and mentor their BFY Student(s).
Excellence in Innovation Award
This award recognizes a company that has demonstrated creativity and forward-thinking by implementing innovative construction practices within the past two years. Whether through new approaches to project delivery, process design, workforce development, mentorship, digital technology, or environmental sustainability, the winning company exemplifies a commitment to improving the construction industry through bold and effective change.
