Meet Your Keynote Speaker

Jennie West-Correia, CPF, CEC (West Reach Development Inc.) brings over 24 years of experience and deep passion, energy and expertise in leadership development, employee engagement and collaboration. An entrepreneur herself, Jennie has helped leaders of all levels enhance how they approach leading others. As an executive coach, facilitator, and trainer, she has become well-respected and highly sought for her creative, engaging, and practical approach.

Lessons in Leadership – Women in Construction

In her interactive session, “Lessons in Leadership – Women in Construction” Jennie will lead attendees in discussions and exercises intended to enhance your self-awareness, develop confidence in your unique strengths, articulate your value and align your actions with your long-term professional goals.

  • Being Intentional – a strategic and forward focused mindset.

Meet Your Panel

Moderator: Anathea Fenton, Founder and President – Falkbuilt Halifax

Anathea is regarded as an off-site construction specialist having planned and delivered hundreds of projects throughout North America from initial planning and design assist, to project management and oversight of installation. An entrepreneur at heart, she went from employee to business owner, by founding the local branch for Falkbuilt Ltd in 2020, which is now recognized as one of the top performing branches in North America.

Allison Coffin

Director, Regulatory & Government Relations – Eastward Energy

Alison has previously led the Sales, Engineering and Construction teams and has a strong background in capital plan execution through design, standards and installation of natural gas infrastructure throughout the province. Allison has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University and is a Board member at CANS.

Nada George

Project Manager – Marid Industries ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 

Nada George is a project manager for Marid Industries. She has been with Marid since 2007, starting as junior engineer and then moved to the project management role. Nada earned the professional engineer and PMP licenses in 2018. She takes pride in using her skills to manage projects, meet client expectations and achieve success at Marid Industries.

Chelsea Manzoni

Safety Manager – Ocean Contractors Limited

After finishing her OHS diploma program at NSCC, Chelsea started her career as a safety consultant and trainer, travelling across Nova Scotia exposing herself to a wide range of industries including construction, forestry, health care, cosmetology, marine and transportation.  At the age of 30, with 5 years in the industry Chelsea has gained extensive experience in construction safety and is eager to learn from experienced industry leaders and help everyone complete projects safely and efficiently.

Stephany Pinhorn

High Pressure Pipe Welder – Nova Scotia Power

Stephany Pinhorn is a multifaceted professional with over eight years of experience as a high-pressure pipe welder, primarily at Nova Scotia Power. She has achieved several significant milestones, including being the first woman to perform x-ray level joints and completely weld a full valve package during a shutdown for NSPI. Stephany is a certified CWB welder with specialized pipe tickets and holds diplomas from NSCC Marconi and New Dawn College.
