Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System: Seeking feedback from Nova Scotia’s workplaces

Nova Scotia’s Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Regulations will soon be updated to align the regulations with Canada’s overall WHMIS framework. Changes include adopting the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).

The Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration Safety is seeking feedback from organizations, employers and employees about the proposed changes to the Nova Scotia WHMIS regulations. Your feedback will provide valuable perspective on the proposed changes.

Share Your Feedback

You can provide feedback in either English or French here: Changes to Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System regulations. The website includes a document called “Proposed Summary of Changes” where you can learn more about the proposed changes. Your deadline to participate is December 16, 2022.
