You’re Invited to CANS Golf Tournament!

CANS’ annual Golf Tournament is so popular, we’ve expanded again! Now spanning two full days and four courses, the CANS 2026 Gil‑Son Construction Golf Tournament is one of our most anticipated summer events.

Tee off with more than 500 golfers from across Nova Scotia’s construction sector. Whether you’re looking to build new relationships, reconnect with colleagues, or simply enjoy a day on the course, this tournament offers something for everyone.

Register as a team of four, or sign up individually and we’ll pair you with players from other member organizations—an easy, low-pressure way to expand your professional network.

Event Information

  • Date: June 2026
  • Registration: Opening soon!
  • Locations: Courses in HRM and South Shore
  • Suggested dress code: Golf attire is recommended, including collared shirts with golf pants, tailored shorts, skirts or skorts, and soft‑spike footwear. Dress for changing weather conditions — the tournament runs rain or shine.

Information for Golfers

Rentals: If you require rental clubs, please arrange and pay through the golf course in advance of the tournament. Availability is limited and offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Attire tips: Dress your best — prizes will be awarded for the Best Dressed Team, along with first and second runner‑up teams.

Food: A boxed lunch will be delivered to all golfers.

Alcohol: Any alcohol not purchased from the golf course will be confiscated.

Networking: There is no formal reception after the tournament; however, golfers are welcome to stay and network in the clubhouse.

Ticket Information

Registration is by day, meaning each registration secures your spot for one of the two days. Register for one of the two courses being played that day. Interested in playing both days? You can register for both days here.

Course selections are first come, first served. Once a course reaches capacity, registrants will be asked to select an alternate course.

Registration to CANS 2026 Gil‑Son Construction Golf Tournament includes your green fee, shared cart, boxed lunch and a registration gift.

Glen Arbour Golf Course

  • Individual golfer: $365 + HST
  • Team of four: $1,460 + HST

Oakfield Golf & Country Club

  • Individual golfer: $365 + HST
  • Team of four: $1,460 + HST

Scoring and Prizing

Scoring: Team scorecards must be submitted to golf course staff. Please bring your completed scorecard to the pro shop within 20 minutes of finishing play. Scores not submitted within this timeframe will not be eligible for prizing. RULES ON EACH COURSE.

Winners: Prize winners will be announced on our website and LinkedIn the day following each day of tournament play. Winners may pick up their prizes at the CANS office between TBD.

There will be an overall tournament winner, announced after the conclusion of Day 2 of CANS 2026 Golf Tournament. Winner will be announced on our website and LinkedIn.

  • Golfer check-in: Opens at 7:45 a.m.
    • Proceed to check‑in table after arriving. CANS staff will provide your cart number so you can load your clubs. On your cart, you’ll find your registration gift, team scorecard, pencil, and a bottle of water.
    • Driving range will be available before play begins.
    • Enjoy our morning reception station featuring coffee, muffins, and light snacks!
  • CANS welcome: 8:15 a.m.
    • Please return to your cart for the welcome and rules announcement. Course staff will then guide golfers to their starting holes.
  • Shotgun start: 8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch delivery: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
