How can I view project specifications and drawings online?
To view project documents online you need to be logged on to CANSnet. Once logged on, visit the Projects page and click either the Bulletin (to view all current projects) or Inventory (to view all closed & current projects). Once you have found the project you would like to view, click the Project Code. This will bring you to a new page with project specific details, including specification and drawing documents (if applicable).
To view documents, click the document name or drawing name of the file you want to open and a PDF version of the file will open on your desktop.
How can I download a zipped folder of documents and drawings from CANSnet?
To download a zipped file, select the documents and drawings you want by selecting the box beside the document that says “Download” or the “Add” button next to the drawing and click the button that says “Download Selected Project Files (ZIP)” near the bottom of the page. This process will open a zipped folder containing all the documents and drawings selected.
How can I add myself as a Plan Taker for a project?
To add yourself as a Plan Taker on a project, first make sure you are logged in to CANSnet on your own profile. Click a project code on the bulletin to bring you to a project page, and click the button labelled “Add Me to Plan Takers List” found under the “Plan Takers/Bidders” section of the page.
How can I add myself as a Watcher on a project?
To add yourself as Watcher on a project, first make sure you are logged in to CANSnet on your own profile. Click a project code on the bulletin to bring you to a project page, and click the button labelled “Add to My Projects” near the top right hand corner of the page.
Watching a project will help keep you up to date on important information such as Addenda, Extensions, Bid Results and Awards by sending you an email when any change regarding a project is made. It will also make your projects easier to access on My CANSnet.
How can I see the projects I am watching on My CANSnet?
To view the projects you are watching, log in to CANSnet and click “MY CANSNET” in the top right corner of the site. This will bring you to your CANSnet profile, where you can click “My Projects.” This will display all of the projects you are watching in the same format projects are displayed on the Bulletin & Inventory sections of the website.
Why can’t I print tender forms from CANSnet?
CANS projects are for viewing purposes only. Tender forms are locked and are only available to view online. To obtain tender forms, please contact the project owner.
