Happy Construction Day from CANS!

This past Saturday, October 31, marked a brisk but beautiful Construction Day for the Construction Association of Nova Scotia (CANS). The sunny autumn weather was a perfect backdrop for Halloween-themed celebrations including truck or treating, balloon twisters, a construction career-themed scavenger hunt, a festive photo-scene, bagged popcorn, a petting zoo, and more.

CCA’s National Construction Day

What is Construction Day?

“Construction Day is an opportunity to recognize those who work in the industry and the vital role they play in enriching the quality of life we enjoy as Canadians,” said Mary Van Buren, CCA president. Construction Day celebrates every construction professional within Canada who is instrumental in building and connecting our communities. 2020 marks the second annual national Construction Day, an initiative led by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA). Public Health Considerations

CANS takes the safety of our members seriously. This event was conducted in accordance with current, local Public Health requirements.

Capacity was limited, common touchpoints reduced (and any remaining were regularly sanitized), handwashing stations were readily available and social distancing encouraged throughout.
