CANS Emerging Leaders Community Pick-Me-Up Successfully Diverted 50kg of Waste from the Dartmouth Waterfront

CANS Emerging Leaders first Community Pick-Me-Up was a resounding success! It was a perfect sunny afternoon on June 2, as roughly 40 members of the Emerging Leaders group collected 50 kg of garbage from the Dartmouth Cove area of the Dartmouth Waterfront. That’s more than 100lbs of waste redirected away from our waterways, benefiting our wildlife, strengthening tourism, and ensuring future generations can enjoy the beauty of our province.

In celebration of their efforts, our group headed over to Millstone Public House for a post-cleanup social. Special thanks to Meridia Recruitment Solutions for treating the crew to their first-round in honour of their hard work!

A sincere thank you to all who participated in giving back to our community!
