In May 2024, Nova Scotia’s non-residential building construction grew 4.0% to $98.6 million

Construction is among the fastest growing industries in Atlantic Canada, seeing 9% employment change in April-June 2024 vs. the same time last year.

Nova Scotia’s total building permits (residential and non-residential) were up 33.9% in the first five months of the year comparing with the same period in 2023.
