Meet Your CANS Team!

It’s been a while since many of you have seen CANS staff in-person. With the way of the world continuing remotely, we thought it would be a great time to (re)introduce CANS team to our members on the digital front! This week, get to know…

Get to Know Taylor

Q&A

What made you want to work at CANS?

Colleen Fiske-Pinaud (Director, Marketing & Communications) was my mentor while I was completing my public relations diploma at NSCC. Whilst supervising my work, she spoke about her time at CANS and made a convincing argument for joining her!

What do you like about working at CANS?

I like meeting and connecting with other staff and association members. I love pulling a paper together and watching it be executed.

What is your favourite part of your workday?

I enjoy (almost) everything about it: trying to solve complicated problems, learning new things in my field, chatting with my cubicle coworkers.

What sets CANS apart from your past jobs?

My coworkers are amazing and there is a strong environment for professional development. There’s a little bit of unpredictability and I enjoy the problem-solving aspect.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my free time I enjoy socializing. Going out for a cup of coffee or for a meal at new restaurant, and meeting friends for a walk on the Halifax waterfront.

Did you Know?

Taylor interned for a Lord at the House of Lords in the UK Parliament – attending committee meetings, question periods and debates.
