Action required – Complete the prompt payment adjudication and process survey by April 10

As you may be aware, the provincial government is preparing regulations regarding prompt payment and adjudication processes for the construction industry. The proposed process is based on Saskatchewan’s model: requiring regular invoicing of goods and services, sets the timelines for prompt payment, and provides a fast settlement for disputes managed by a third-party adjudication authority.

Before finalizing the proposed regulations, the province is seeking feedback from the construction industry regarding the proposed prompt payment and adjudication processes. It is important to receive feedback from the public and interested groups to ensure the development of this process is transparent to those impacted.
